Project Four: The Christian Science Plaza

Bluebird is proud of the projects we have fabricated that enhance the fabric of Boston’s famous places and spaces. There are few public areas more important to the city than Christian Science Plaza. When renowned firm Roll Barresi and Associates designed the kiosks and signs for the plaza, Bluebird put in every effort to do justice to their vision.

Originally conceived to be fabricated using stainless steel with a bead-blasted finish, Bluebird demonstrated its ability to deliver a more durable and better-looking sign with aluminum painted to match. Brushed stainless letters, dichroic glass details, and a matching granite base complete the look.

Bluebird fabricated the kiosk and also meticulously incorporated the ground pavers.

Nearly all the signs required complex connection and illumination details.
